Hylexin™ Dark Circles
Why do people get dark circles under their eyes?
Dark circles under the eyes are one of the most common dermatological complaints, after acne.
Although it is commonly believed that dark circles under the eyes are a sign of a lack of sleep or a long night of partying or working, science disproves these beliefs. Dark circles under the eyes are not the result of stress or any kind of behavior; they are not caused by hormonal imbalances or high blood alcohol levels.
Dark circles under the eyes can be the result of a number of factors:
- Gravity – Doctors have determined one cause of dark circles under the eyes to be gravity. While sleeping, gravity causes slight swelling of the eyelids by pulling certain fluids into your lower eyelids. The resulting swelling causes shadows under the eyes.
- Sinus and Nasal Congestion - When the sinuses are congested, the veins that usually provide drainage from your eyes into your sinuses and nose become widened (dilated) and darker.
- The Sun – Sunlight exposure can aggravate dark circles under the eyes. Sunlight darkens skin by raising the body’s melanin levels and bringing that melanin nearer to the skin’s surface. These raised melanin levels can make dark circles become darker.
- Hemoglobin degradation - According to most research dermatologists, serious dark circles are caused by the oxidation of hemoglobin (blood) in the capillary matrix of the peri-orbital eye area (the area beneath the eye). Capillaries sometimes leak blood that begins to oxidize (also known as hemoglobin degradation) creating a dark bluish-red pigmentation that looks distinctly like a bruise. Basically, the body is unable to refresh pooled blood under the eyes which turns a dark blue/purple as the blood loses oxygen. The result is chronic dark circles underneath the eyes.
- Heredity – A predisposition to dark circles can be inherited. The genes related to dark circles actually cause weakened capillaries in the skin around the eyes. Skin tone, including transparency of the skin, is also inherited and can make dark circles appear more dramatic.
Proven Cosmeceutical Treatment!
As lasting dark circles under the eyes are so difficult to alleviate, science has developed a proven compound for the treatment of dark circles called Hylexin®.
How Does Hylexin work?
Studies have shown that Hylexin actually optimizes enzymatic activity within the peri-orbital eye area. This means that Hylexin can assist the body in clearing up the pooled oxidized blood that causes dark circles! Hylexin is the first formula specifically developed to dramatically reduce the appearance of serious dark circles. Further, Hylexin has been developed to prevent further blood pooling and resulting dark circles under the eyes.
Scientific Evidence of Effectiveness!
In a double-blind clinical trial, more than 72% of participants who had serious dark circles and used Hylexin's® key compound saw an obvious, tangible, and visible reduction in the color and severity of their dark circles. These results were confirmed with high-speed laboratory photography that clearly showed a significant reduction in the appearance of the blue and red color that makes dark eye circles so noticeable.
